Best Contemporary Italian Restaurants in South Mountain

Our meal was very good, and the wine was spectacular! Server was very knowledgeable and helpful.

The location of Rosso is great in downtown Phoenix because of the sports venues and vibrant feel. My partner and I shared a beet salad, Pappardelle with short ribs, a Bufala pizza and Tiramasu. The good beet salad had mixed red and golden beets, goat cheese dollops, and crunchy dried beets. The pasta was delicious with the noodles cooked al dente and tossed with a rich short ribs sauce . The pizza was flavorful but the crust toward the center of the pie was droopy due to a little too much sauce and cheese. I do recommend Rosso.

Wonderful evening with great atmosphere and excellent food and service. Loved the meatball appetizers so much that we got another order to take home! Pastas, as always, hit the spot. Cannot recommend Society highly enough...for large groups or intimate evening.

We dined on the patio on a rainy night. The staff made sure we were comfortable and well tended. Everyone in our party of seven enjoyed the food and drinks.
