- JJanHawaii •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoTried the pork belly and the miso eggplant, shared it with my sister in law. Absolutely amazing 🤩. From the time we entered the restaurant all employees engaged and were super friendly and attentive, especially if it's your first visit. The Konami mochi was also deliciousMore infoLittle Plum$$$$• Asian• Honolulu•4.9
- LLaurenHawaii •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoI came to Maze with a couple friends a few years ago and have wanted to return ever since. (I think about the salmon toast weekly.) This year for my birthday, my partner made that happen. It was raining outside when we arrived to the restaurant and since we didn’t have an umbrella I came in completely soaking wet, this really killed the excited mood I was in. Our server was so sweet and kind and offered me a blanket and a cup of hot tea, the gesture and getting warmed up saved my mood and set the meal off to a great start. Part of me was wondering if the food would still be as delicious as it was the last time I dined here since it had been so long. It absolutely was. The fact that they’ve maintained that quality for years is really impressive to me. Honestly, if Michelin came to Hawaii I believe this place would definitely have a star. There wasn’t a single dish that wasn’t totally outstanding, this meal or the previous time. We both don’t drink so we went in thinking we would only do food and pass on the non alcoholic drink pairing that they offer but when it came down to it we chose the experience menu with the NA pairing and let me tell you it was SO worth it. Each drink had its own subtleties and complexities that made it fit so perfectly with each course. It really did round out the whole experience. I love Maze, I will be back and I can’t wait to see what they continue to do!More infoMĀZE$$$$• Contemporary Asian• Kaka'ako•4.8
- MMelanieGoldPhiladelphia County •1 review5.0Dined 7 days agoThis speakeasy-style omakase has real character. The ambience is dark and atmospheric, and every detail feels like a reflection of the chef's own taste; it's authentic, not manufactured. The food matches the room. This is not your average sushi, in the best way. Each course was packed with flavor and texture, and the creativity showed throughout, including a smoking machine used to infuse some of the dishes with cherry blossom smoke. Personal highlights were the hotate, mackerel, uni bowl with quail egg, and warm sesame tamago. Hiro was a fantastic host. I'd happily return and recommend it to anyone visiting Oahu.More infoHiro No Uchi$$$$• Sushi• Downtown / Chinatown•5
